ATTITUDES

We have probably all seen sour-faced people. They look as if they ate a few lemons and their face froze that way. Despite what we think, our attitude shows on our face. If we are happy, of course, people will know it. And when we are negative, others will see that as well. Our attitudes reflect who we are…especially when the pressure is on. If our attitude is sour, we can’t effectively share Christ with others and we certainly can’t glorify God.

Philippians 2:5 “Have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.” (NLT)

Dear Lord, help us to be more aware of our attitude. Our attitude should be the same as Jesus had. We should want to have an attitude that is giving and caring and kind. We should want to please You and give You the glory in all we do. Renew us today so we have the right attitude that will give You glory and encourage others. Change anything in us that is not reflecting the right attitude. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

We should think about the attitude we are portraying to others every day and be sure our attitudes are pleasing to God.

Our attitudes reflect who we are and what we are thinking about.

Attitudes are contagious. Let’s be sure to spread good ones to everybody.

We can be more aware of our attitudes when we make God a priority in our lives.

God wants to renew our thoughts and attitudes every day so we can give Him the glory in all we do.

Ephesians 4:23 “Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes.” (NLT)

Focus: Right now. What does your body language and facial expression say about your attitude?
